Wednesday, 14th May 2025 – Sensori, part of the Sisk Group, is celebrating World FM Day – a day dedicated to recognising the invaluable contribution of facilities management professionals and the pivotal role they play in shaping, sustaining, and optimising the built environment.

This year’s theme, “Resilience in Action: Thriving in a World of Change,” honours the determination and adaptability of FM professionals—those who keep our workplaces running, our buildings efficient, and our environments safe, sustainable, and future-ready.

World FM Day is not just a celebration—it’s a platform to spotlight the often-unsung work of facilities managers. These professionals are the driving force behind the operational excellence, sustainability goals, and technological advancements that define today’s-built environment.

“One of our key principles is to optimise our environmental impact—by leveraging the latest building management technologies, improving resource and waste efficiency, and engaging clients through the sustainability journey. World FM Day is an opportunity to recognise the teams leading these advancements every day,” said Anthony Dunne, Regional FM Manager, Sensori.

FM in Action: The Sisk HQ, Citywest Project

To mark World FM Day, we are highlighting our recent collaboration with Sisk, our parent company, on their headquarters in Citywest – a fully self-delivered facilities management project that demonstrates the critical role FM plays from both a strategic and operational perspective.

Working in partnership with Sisk, Sensori delivered multiple FM services but one key area was an integrated package of access control, intruder alarm, CCTV, and video intercom systems, underpinned by key FM principles: physical security, data protection, user experience, and systems integration.

Facilities managers were central to the planning and execution of this project—guiding system selection, ensuring alignment with long-term building needs, and embedding resilience and flexibility into the solution.

With health and safety at the forefront, the installed systems were integrated with the building’s fire alarm network—allowing emergency door release and automatic muster reports during drills or real events. We’re also exploring new capabilities, such as generating live displays of fire marshals and first aiders on-site—enhancing real-time emergency response, safety visibility, and staff confidence.

Commenting on the importance of world FM day, Jennifer McCullagh, Facilities Director added, “At Sensori, we see facilities management as a key enabler of long-term value in the built environment. Our collaboration with Sisk reflects what’s possible when innovation meets deep operational insight. On World FM Day, we celebrate the people behind the systems – the FM professionals who deliver resilience, excellence, and impact every single day.”

Driving the Future of FM

The Sisk HQ project is part of a broader industry shift – from traditional, reactive maintenance models to forward-thinking, digitally enabled, and environmentally conscious FM strategies. Technologies like BIM, AI, and smart building platforms are unlocking new opportunities for FM teams to lead on energy efficiency, sustainability, and lifecycle planning.

In this changing landscape, the role of the facilities manager is more important than ever. They are the connectors between design and operations, sustainability and compliance, technology and people.

We believe in a future where facilities management is not just a support function—but a strategic driver of innovation and sustainability across every stage of the built environment.

So on World FM Day, we say thank you – to the facilities managers who ensure our spaces thrive, adapt, and endure. You are the backbone of our buildings, and the foundation of a better tomorrow.

Friday, 9th May 2025 – As part of Ireland’s National Spring Clean campaign, last week the Sensori team members rolled up their sleeves and joined forces to give Sandymount Beach a well-deserved clean-up.

Now in its 25th year, National Spring Clean is Ireland’s largest and longest-running anti-litter initiative, encouraging communities across the country to take pride in their local environment.

Led by An Taisce and supported by the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications, this initiative has been a cornerstone of environmental responsibility since 1999 — and we’re proud to do our part.

“Sensori is proud to give back to the local community as part of our CSR initiatives for 2025, participating in events like this helps us stay connected to the communities where we work, while actively contributing to a more sustainable future, said Mark Cullen, Contracts Manager at Sensori.”

At Sensori, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword — it’s a commitment. From reducing our environmental footprint on projects to supporting initiatives like National Spring Clean, we’re always looking for meaningful ways to build a cleaner, greener future.

A big thank you to everyone who took part. 💚♻️

Monday, 31st March 2025 – Sensori Group, a premier specialist service provider in the built environment, offering end-to-end project management solutions, is pleased to announce the successful completion of its recent surveillance audit by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) for its ISO 50001 certified Energy Management System (EnMS). This achievement further solidifies Sensori’s ongoing commitment to energy efficiency, sustainability, and delivering high-quality energy solutions.

ISO 50001 is an internationally recognized standard for Energy Management Systems, designed to help organizations optimize energy usage, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact. Sensori’s successful certification to this standard demonstrates its dedication to adopting and maintaining effective energy management practices.

Declan O’Connor, Head of Quality & Compliance, commented: “Maintaining our Energy Management System certification is a point of pride for Sensori, reflecting our commitment to operating in an energy-efficient manner. Achieving and upholding the ISO 50001 standard aligns with our broader ESG strategy and the ambitious goals we’ve set as a business.”

As a result of the surveillance audit, Sensori’s certification scope has expanded to include the Provision of Energy Management Services. Previously, Sensori was audited based solely on its internal energy management processes. However, the expanded scope now includes Sensori’s Building Energy Management System (BeMS) reports and installations. This expansion enhances Sensori’s reputation as a trusted provider of energy management services within the built environment.

This certification provides Sensori’s clients with additional assurance that they are partnering with a reliable, certified organization dedicated to providing sustainable energy management solutions.

“We are proud to have this expanded scope of certification, which not only reinforces our internal energy management efforts but also strengthens the confidence our clients place in us as their trusted energy solutions provider,” added Declan O’Connor, Head of Quality & Compliance.

Sensori extends its thanks to the NSAI for conducting the audit and to our dedicated team for their hard work and commitment to achieving this significant milestone.
